Our Classrooms...

The Pooh Bear Room begins with children from 6 weeks to 12 months. This small classroom of 4 children per 1 teacher, gives the teacher (s) the ability to help the child learn how to sit up, grasp objects, crawl and meet all their important developmental milestones! The infants complete small creative arts that help them develop physically, emotionally and intellectually. This classroom also completes weekly lesson plans which allows for  the teachers to teach the infants developmentally appropriate activities and track their development. The infants also enjoy the outdoors with daily walks and outdoor experiences.

The  Teddy Bear Room is for children 12 months to 24 months. This room allows 5 children per 1 teacher,  giving a close teacher and child environment. Here, children are free to play and learn in multiple centers and begin learning parts of the body, colors, shapes and new words every day. The teachers  develop creative lesson plans to help enhance the child’s mind. The class is able to experience our toddler side of the playground and explore with their friends each day (weather permitting).

The  Panda Bear Room takes learning for your 2 year old to a whole new level! Throughout this next year of your child’s life, they will be learning so much! All this accomplished through their simple actions each day. They will be scribbling, coloring, painting and creating a lot of artwork!  Your child will also learn more about exploring books, colors, shapes, beginning Spanish vocabulary, sign language and the potty! One of our goals in this classroom is to help take some of the stress out of potty training by encouraging and supporting your child during this amazing milestone!! These children share the playground with our Young Toddlers, allowing them to socialize with some of their friends from the previous classroom!

The Koala Bear class is for our 3 and 4 year old children, and will continue to open your child to new and challenging experiences. In this class, children will continue to enhance their skills learned in the previous classrooms, as well as, beginning to develop the skills needed to enter Kindergarten. We enhance their writing skills by tracing their names, shapes, letters and numbers. Throughout the day we also teach basic beginning Spanish vocabulary, sign language, types of weather, days of the week, science, math, creative arts, social studies and much more.  The Koala Bears enjoy the older child side of our playground to enhance their science knowledge, physical development, gross motor skills and much more! They also have many opportunities to take a trip down to our “Hundred Acre Woods” to learn and explore!

Our Polar Bear Classroom prepares our children for the elementary school classroom! Here, children will learn and spend time with each letter of the alphabet, number, shape, and color.  Spanish vocabulary is continued to be built upon, as well as American Sign Language. These children also begin to write letters, numbers, and their names independently! The teachers work with the
students to help them learn their phone numbers, addresses and all other requirements for entrance into Kindergarten. The children  are introduced to a rotating curriculum - the same concepts will come back around at least two times while in this room. This classroom is evaluated by Kindergarten Teachers in the Annville-Cleona School District to help to ensure that we are preparing our children for the elementary level.

This program gives parents a comforting piece of mind. Parents are able to drop their child off at Tender Heart in the morning and feel confident that their child will have a nutritious breakfast and reliable transportation to school (via the Annville-Cleona School District bus transportation system). Parents can be reassured that their child is making it to school on time with a full belly to begin their learning process! At the conclusion of the school day, children will be brought back to Tender Heart, via ACSD bus transportation, to have a healthy snack, complete their homework with our Homework Club, and release their minds through  indoor and outdoor play and activities.
